Twentynine Palms is the south entry point of Joshua Tree National Park. The city was named for the palm trees found in this region in 1852. 

You will find a series of 26 outdoor murals painted on the local building that features various aspects of the desert life. You can find more about the city's history at the Schoolhouse, where the society that founded the city used to live. 

The summer can be sweltering, and the winter very cold. The temperature can vary from 35°F to 99°F. It is rarely below 28°F or above 105°F. Be prepared for hot days and cold nights.

ASTRO TOURISM

If you love stargazing, you will find a few places in the world that you can most certainly visit, and Joshua Tree is one of them. The park is famous for its vegetation, historic rock formations, and magical dark skies. 

Just for you to have an idea, the International Dark Association honored the park with Dark Sky Park status. It is among the best national parks for stargazing.

Joshua Tree National Park

One of the most famous parks in the world. Joshua Tree receives billions of people per year. It is famous for the Dark Night Sky. It was designated a national monument in 1936 by President Franklin Roosevelt. and was accorded National Park in 1994. However, the geological story began two billion years ago. Sky's The Limit Observatory &
Nature Center

Sky's the limit observatory: 15 to 20 minutes away. Only open when the moon is out. Check their schedule before going there.
